Infrastructure and Security Upgrades to Live Tier IV Data Center
Phased security upgrades to live Tier IV data center facility without impact to existing operations. Project included new roof system, lightning protection, window replacement, and new security fencing. All work was performed during regular operating hours with extensive protection of critical areas.
- Roof Replacement & Lightning Protection
- Removed existing 95,000 sf legacy building ballasted roof system and replaced with a 2-ply modified bitumen membrane roof system. Both internal and external site protection measures were established and implemented, while the existing roof was demolished and replaced in
sectional grids. Ongoing weather observation and extensive temporary protection systems were continuously erected and dismantled to protect operations in interior environments below the roof. Existing roof components, including sheet metal, wall panels, roof drains, exhaust fans, vent and curb caps, air intakes, equipment mounts, and lightning protection were also modified or replaced as part of the roof replacement.
- Security Fencing
- Site preparation, excavation, structural concrete, concrete paving, underground electrical, and electronic controls for the installation of a new 3,560 lf perimeter security fencing of an existing data center complex.
- Window Replacement
- Removal of existing windows, storefronts and framing and installation of approximately 1165 sf of new bullet resistant windows, storefronts and framing in operational data center.
